Many clients we talk to have complained about their workplace. Sometimes it is crazy and sometimes it’s just stuff everyone goes through. But what really surprises me – almost every day – is how many companies don’t treat the complaints seriously. In fact, they treat them as an annoyance, dismiss them, and even want to get rid of the employee.
The City of Phoenix learned the hard way last month that this reaction is not wise. Retaliation is the real teeth behind these claims – even when the original complaints seem weak. All complaints must be treated seriously; or, it gets serious and expensive extremely fast!
